The Hard Political Truth
That's me in the last panel of this revealing bit of political commentary.
What kind of Colorado do you want to live in?
Free. Fiscally sound. Prosperous.
That's the Colorado that I want to live in. Unfortunately, not everyone sees things this way:
- The General Assembly has seen fit to monkey around with tax increases at a time when people can least afford it.
- Governor Ritter thought raising fees (that is, taxes) was a fine idea, again just when our pockets were already empty enough.
- And the business climate in Colorado keeps getting worse as a direct result of government action.
But we can turn our state around. As I head to the Colorado House of Representatives, my mission will be simple in concept, difficult in execution:
- Reduce the size and scope of the state government.
- Promote free enterprise.
It sounds easy, doesn't it? The reality is that the struggle for freedom never, ever ends. That's why I need your help. If you want a freer, more prosperous Colorado, I encourage you to make sure that you vote, volunteer, and donate.
Because with your help we can make sure that recovery begins in Colorado.
